Frequently asked questions
What makes Bean Logic different?
Bean Logic is built to make coffee easier to choose. Rather than asking customers to guess from vague flavour notes alone, we focus on helping you understand how a coffee and roast level are likely to taste, based on how you actually like to drink coffee.
What do your roast levels mean?
We offer three roast levels:
Light roast
Brighter, more expressive and more origin-led. Usually better for people who enjoy fruit, acidity and clarity.
Medium roast
Balanced, sweet and versatile. A great place to start if you are unsure.
Dark roast
Richer, heavier and more chocolate-forward, with lower acidity and a more developed roast character
Which roast level should I choose if I’m not sure?
Start with medium roast. It usually gives the best balance of sweetness, body and flavour clarity.
Do you roast to order?
Yes. All orders are roasted fresh to order, then packed and dispatched within 24 hours of roasting wherever possible, so your coffee arrives as fresh as possible.
Are your coffees whole bean or ground?
Our coffees are currently sold as whole bean.
What size are your coffee bags?
Our standard coffee bag size is 200g. This is the default size for all coffees unless stated otherwise.
Which coffee is best for milk-based drinks?
If you mainly drink coffee with milk, coffees with more sweetness, body and chocolate-forward character will usually work best. Medium and dark roasts are often the most natural fit.
Which coffee is best for drinking black?
If you usually drink coffee black, you may prefer coffees with more clarity, structure and origin character. Light and medium roasts are often the best place to start.
How fresh will my coffee be?
Your coffee is roasted fresh to order in small batches, then packed and dispatched within 24 hours of roasting wherever possible, so it arrives as fresh as possible.
How long will my coffee stay fresh?
For the best flavour, we recommend enjoying your coffee within the first month. The prime drinking window is usually around 7 to 14 days after roasting, which is when the flavours often peak. Coffee can still keep for much longer, up to 12 months if stored well, but for the best experience keep it sealed and stored in a cool, dry place between uses. We state the roast date on all bags.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free UK delivery on orders over £30.
How much is standard UK delivery?
Standard UK delivery is £3 for orders under £30.
Do you offer express delivery?
Yes. Express UK delivery is available at checkout.
Can I return coffee?
Because coffee is a food product, we may not be able to accept returns on opened items. However, if there is an issue with your order, please get in touch and we will do our best to help.
What if I’m not happy with my order?
Please contact us as soon as possible if something is wrong with your order. We want customers to have a good experience with Bean Logic and we will always try to resolve genuine issues fairly.
How do I know which coffee to buy?
Start with our Find My Coffee page. It is designed to help you choose a coffee and roast level based on how you like to drink coffee and the flavour profile you tend to enjoy.
Will you add more coffees in future?
Yes. We plan to keep expanding the range with carefully selected coffees that each bring something different in the cup.
